KINGBEEZ – hailing from Fredericia, Denmark – is ready to rock you good with the band no-frills high intensity rock n roll, buzz and blues.

Bands History

Since its formation in 1998 the KINGBEEZ have taken a steady flight from covering traditional blues numbers to pumping out their own mix of psykedelic and high voltage rock n roll – mind you, a healthy doze of blues is still prominent in their sound. A sound which has been captured on a number of demo albums issued within the last five year. Feel free to check out sound bites in the list below these lines. A number of fine musicians have graced KINGBEEZ line-ups in the last decade with singer and main song writer Henrik Juhl Kristensen as the only original “bee” still flying. Today, however, KINGBEEZ boasts its most hard rocking line-up consisting of Gunnar Schultz and Allan Lauridsen on guitar, Torsten Uldbjerg on bass, Brian Nørgaard on drums and Henrik on vocal. Live the band is often enhanced with ace keyboard player Kim Dupont as well.

KINGBEEZ PÅ JELLING

Lørdag den 29. maj kl. 12:00 lander ”kongebierne” på Teltscenen på Jelling Musikfestival 2010.

Seks år efter, at bandet sidst gæstede festivalen, vil KINGBEEZ på ny sørge for at sætte lørdagsprogrammet i gang på Jelling Musikfestival – denne gang med et rockende program, der især  tager afsæt i ”biernes” seneste CD-udspil ”In a Parallel Universe”. Det betyder, at publikum godt kan begynde at glæde sig til solid guitarrock med en forkærlighed for 60´er og 70´er-rock og med enkelte psykedeliske anstrøg.

1. Vi glæder os helt vildt til at spille på Jelling, siger guitarist Allan Lauridsen og fortsætter: - Jelling Musikfestival er jo både en institution indenfor dansk live-musik og en fantastisk platform for os som band at få præsenteret vore numre på.

Kun to af de band-medlemmer, der i 2004 var med til at spille ”biernes” første koncert på Jelling Musikfestival er fortsat med i KINGBEEZ – nemlig sanger Henrik Juhl Kristensen og bassist Torsten Uldbjerg. Ud over Allan Lauridsen flankeres de i dag i ”bikuben” af bandets anden guitarist, Gunnar Schultz, og af trommeslageren Brian Nørgaard.

Ved koncerten på Jelling Musikfestival er bandet endvidere forstærket med deres faste gæstekeyboardspiller Kim Dupont.
